UAAP '75 Championship (UST VS ADMU)

Thomasian Pride! I don't want to be biased about this game, well actually, I assure you there will be no biases since I am both going for both teams. I've been supporting Ateneo Blue Eagles since high school and I can't avoid myself from cheering them. Now, I am studying in UST, of course, I don't want our school to waste a great opportunity of getting the basketball GOLD.

From the very beginning, UST really fought for their place today and Ateneo continued their awesomeness throughout the season with humilty. I was able to watch their first every game of the season and the Tigers happily went home with their "win after the longest time" against Ateneo. Smiles on their faces are really marked and feels like it can't be removed.

UST vs Ateneo first game of the season
That game was the first ever game that I was able to watch together with other Thomasians. It happened inside the Main Building. I felt so much unity and happiness. Those cheers and shouts, even though we can't deliver the noise to the Arena, are still a stress release for me. At first, we saw the scoreboard and it was terrible. And all of a sudden, we were outside the Main Building already, and yes, the shouts dragged us back inside and made us aware that UST is leading and the clock is about to rin out of time for Ateneo to catch up. In the end, Tigers were able to get the last point.

Standing why the two teams reached the Finals Games
October 6, 2012, at the MOA Arena, is the first finals game between Ateneo and UST. I was able to watch it closer because my uncle got me lower box tickets because Kirk Long gave those to him. I even met his driver and everything. I am very thankful for that and I was actually excited for all the happenings. At the first half of the game we were sitting at the lower box but we transferred upto Gen Ad because Kim was there.

October 11, 2012 is already the second game of the finals game of UAAP Season 75. The Growlong Tigers have suffered from the first game for Ateneo had 5 points ahead of them and the single perspective non-call fouls from the referees. But anyway, Tigers were really for fight since they were trying to get points ahead of Ateneo even though they were struggling. Maybe, it wasn't a good day for Abdul to play since he really was clumsy on this day. Attempts remain attempts and those are such a waste. It were supposed to be points for the Yellow community.

Even though UST was not able to repeat the 2006 championship experience, they were to reunite everyone. I even joined their crowd not just because I'm a Thomasion but also because I know I would be able to cheer more in the yellow crowd. In my mind, I still want to join the blue crowd since it's my brother's school. The game ended with a final score of 62-65 in favor of the 5-peat champion Ateneo de Manila University. My back ache and foot ache was not a waste after all since I was able to watch the game with my friends.

It's the entertainment that matters. Soon, University of Santo Tomas will be able to steal Ateneo's title. Just soon. I can feel it. That's all.
